What patients say on Google

“If you aren't suicidal and you go here, you will quickly be suicidal. They would not give me meds and refused to call me an ambulance when I told them I was suicidal. Very demeaning staff and telemed staff, worst experience of my life. I repeat do not go here, go to the hospital where you can get proper treatment.”

“I'm not familiar with compass health but if they kept Dr Shannon Robinson on after taking over Phelps health center clinic they have very poor judgement. That woman needs to be on the other side of the desk. If you care about your mental health and being treated with even a tiny bit of respect DO NOT LET THEM STICK YOU WITH THIS JOKE OF A PSYCHIATRIST!”

“My name is Sydney, and I’m writing this to prevent further harm. I began care with Compass Behavioral Health in February. I was dropped without notice and had to wait two months just to see a licensed psychologist. In that time, I visited the Rolla Crisis Center four times — Each time, I was discharged within hours, still suicidal, without meaningful help. When I met my therapist for the first time, they threatened called the police on me. even though I was in a safe environment and telling him of my struggles with compass. My spouse was with me as well confirming my safety. I told them I wanted to end my life, I was met with cold, condescending responses. No follow-up. No real care. I attempted to take my life while under Compass’s care. I called crisis. No one called back. Military families deserve better. We carry invisible wounds and need support — not negligence. I’m now receiving proper care and am alive because of it. But I’m reporting Compass to the Inspector General. No private company should get away with this level of harm. To anyone reading: You deserve to be heard. Don’t stop reaching out — just reach somewhere safer. It takes a lot to share your attempts, my story and how I was feeling and I hope it speaks volumes.”

“I was admittedly very nervous to go to a new office for my mental health care after Compass Health took over Phelps Health. However, I have never had better mental healthcare. I am so pleased. The first psychiatric NP they set me up with was a very bad match, but I was able to be switched to a new one, which I really appreciated. The new psychiatric NP I got was just amazing. My CSS (Community Support Specialist) is really helpful in my mental health journey. Every CSS I've met is caring, kind, and I feel like they genuinely care about my mental health and well-being. I recommend Compass Health as they have been instrumental in my life and mental health, as well as helping me grow as a person.”
