“Hi all. Recovering addict here. Former patient of ReDiscover COED. This review will be a little long but i assure you worth your time to read... Ok so last year april of 2025, i decided i wanted help with my long-term substance abuse issues. I started at ReDiscover Womans & Children Program. I lasted 3 days and left. Absolute hell on earth. They run that place with more rules than the Jackson County Detention Center and have absolute no ability to properly manage people dealing with Substance abuse. I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to that program. So in July 2025 i was lucky to get into ReDiscover COED in Lees Summit, it was a way better program. I did 38 days in that program and my one year of sobriety is coming up on the 31st of July. That program was an awesome program and i am so grateful to have gotten sober before they went and destroyed that program. New Director and staff pulled over from their sister womans & children program have absolute ruined the rediscover coed program. It is sad but true. Someone very close to me that was in the program last year has unfortunatly relapsed and had to go back to treatment and the changes he has told me have been made to that program hurts my heart. That program ABSOLUTLEY DID NOT TO BE FIXED AT ALL IT WAS PERFECT A YEAR AGO BEFORE YOU ALL NEW CONTROL FREAKS BECAME INVOLVED. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR DOING WHAT YOU DID TO THAT PROGRAM IT AT ONE TIME WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN KANSAS CITY. NOW I WOULD TELL ANYONE CONSIDERING REDISCOVER LEES SUMMIT NOT TO. TRY AND FIND SOMEPLACE OUT OF THE STATE OR SOMETHING OR OUTSIDE OF KANSAS CITY BECAUSE HEARTLAND AND REDISCOVER ARE ABSOLUTE HORRID NOW.”

“Would give 0 stars if I could. I tried to kill myself and was referred to them for therapy. I got given a drug counselor instead of a therapist because I tested positive for MARIJUANA in my system. My “drug counselor” showed up with 5 minutes remaining in our 3rd appointment and I never got the option to reschedule or schedule a new appointment. If you genuinely don’t want to kill your self I would recommend seeking therapy somewhere else. I never once received the services I needed.”

“I only gave a few stars because Athena is the best ! She actually cares and listens to you and definitely makes you feel comfortable while talking to her. As for the rest of team I could just give zero stars if I could They really don’t care and listen to you. you could tell them your dying and the only thing you will be asked is did you take your meds.. the psych team is a joke there they told me I couldn’t see my psychiatrist without the nurse practitioner approval I have never in my life heard I had to be approved to talk to my psychiatrist or make an appointment with one ! I feel forced to take meds that definitely are not working and also making me sick every single morning and told to just take Zofran to stop the nausea with it I do not want to take another medication on top of another medication because my body is rejecting it do that not tell you that medication is not meant for my body ! I do not even write reviews and I’m being so kind by leaving names out because the care team is a joke besides the one I mentioned above I am currently going else where for psych services I will not trust a place like rediscover med team to prescribe me anything again you are suppose to listen to your patients and actually care so you can truly know what it is they need it really is that simple !🤷🏾‍♀️”

“I love rediscover in Lee summit..I'm actually trying to get a bed date soon.. they really helped me alot when I was in drug court and helped me once I got out of jail after my accident.. I recommend them better than comprehensive mental health..”
