“Hi all. Recovering addict here. Former patient of ReDiscover COED. This review will be a little long but i assure you worth your time to read... Ok so last year april of 2025, i decided i wanted help with my long-term substance abuse issues. I started at ReDiscover Womans & Children Program. I lasted 3 days and left. Absolute hell on earth. They run that place with more rules than the Jackson County Detention Center and have absolute no ability to properly manage people dealing with Substance abuse. I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to that program. So in July 2025 i was lucky to get into ReDiscover COED in Lees Summit, it was a way better program. I did 38 days in that program and my one year of sobriety is coming up on the 31st of July. That program was an awesome program and i am so grateful to have gotten sober before they went and destroyed that program. New Director and staff pulled over from their sister womans & children program have absolute ruined the rediscover coed program. It is sad but true. Someone very close to me that was in the program last year has unfortunatly relapsed and had to go back to treatment and the changes he has told me have been made to that program hurts my heart. That program ABSOLUTLEY DID NOT TO BE FIXED AT ALL IT WAS PERFECT A YEAR AGO BEFORE YOU ALL NEW CONTROL FREAKS BECAME INVOLVED. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR DOING WHAT YOU DID TO THAT PROGRAM IT AT ONE TIME WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN KANSAS CITY. NOW I WOULD TELL ANYONE CONSIDERING REDISCOVER LEES SUMMIT NOT TO. TRY AND FIND SOMEPLACE OUT OF THE STATE OR SOMETHING OR OUTSIDE OF KANSAS CITY BECAUSE HEARTLAND AND REDISCOVER ARE ABSOLUTE HORRID NOW.”

“Looks like I am one of many who had a negative experience at this location. People are coming in with a very delicate mental state, yet I've experienced better customer service at Starbucks. Lindsey T. has a Masters in social work, but she ironically had poor social skills. She was very cold and awkward. At one point, I even started crying during the assessment, and she didn't show any empathy; quite robotic. She was not communicative as to what was going to happen next. She didn't even say goodbye or wish me well. Also, the 2 offices I went into were chaotic. The decor was all over the place and random. Both looked like children's rooms and not in a cute professional way. Again, people are coming in with a delicate mental state. We need calm and orderly. It should showcase that we can trust them as professionals.”

“i went here for a few months for medicine management with april gardner. she’s just alright with meds i wouldn’t recommend her for anyone who is having a really difficult time. her nurse nancy was my biggest issue. her comments she’d say made me not want to come in they made me so uncomfortable. she one time asked me specifics about my trauma and it made me very uncomfortable since she seemed like she was entertained by the bad things that have happened in my life. she would make comments about weight after i’d ask to not be weighed. she started talking about vibrators (yes that kind) to me for a long time. she knew i had taken time off from college and talked about how the people who dropped out while she was in college were a disgrace”

“The cops who carried out the wellness check on me had a rediscover lady with them. She said someone would call me the next day and that i am not alone. It has been 3 days. I couldve been dead by now. These people either dont care or dont have nearly enough funding to actually help people.”
